Sunapee Conservation Commission Meeting Minutes January 7, 2009
Present: Van Webb, Tim Fleury, Rem Mastin, Robert Hill, Roger Whitaker
Absent: Bruce Burdett

Mail: DES application for a Standard Dredge Application for James Spero, 747 Jobs Creek Road, Sunapee, NH.  Tax Map 106, Lot 43 was reviewed. Seasonable removable aluminum pipe dock 96 sq ft, 4 X 24. SCC has concerns of shoreline measurement begin and end, drainage viewed in pictures in the application, public right of way rights – and usage for property, use of property with the right of way present to the Town of Sunapee any limitations, question of 4 lots with 1 point of access, who has use of the dock, which lot holds ownership to parcel with the lake access. Required action – Letter, to be completed by Van Webb. Rem Mastin will investigate zoning questions. Van will investigate minimum frontage requirement for a dock.

Tim Fleury made the motion to accept the minutes of December 2, 2008 as written. The motion was seconded by Roger Whitaker. All in favor 5, Opposed 0.

Ski Tow Hill & The Recreation Committee Request for a playground with the approval of the SCC. A majority of the members visited the site of Ski Tow Hill and the Newbury Playground. After careful consideration Tim Fluery made the motion the Sunapee Conservation Commission requests that a series of Public Meetings be held to develop a long term professional plan for the Recreational uses of Ski Tow Hill in conjunction with the Recreation Committee. All in Favor 6, Opposed 0. (Van Webb Chairman voted on this motion)

Monday January 12, Selectmen’s Meeting regarding the Gore Lot.

Warrant Article for the SCC has been reduced to $15,000.00

Deliberative session is in February – SCC will not meet as a committee unless necessary in anticipation of attending the deliberative session.

Van Webb will write the SCC report for the 2008 Town of Sunapee Town Report.

SCC members reviewed the Warrant Articles 31 A and 31 B for Conservation Commission.
